Summer Retreats

Summer Studio/SOLD OUT

• Meet with the other writers of the Studio (did you know we have fifty writers here at Blackbird?)
• Continue your process (which sometimes goes out the window during summer)
• Establish and follow a summer writing plan
• Option to book mentor appointments for one on one work on the off weeks: $65.00 for first 1000 words and $6.50 for each additional 250 words.

DATES/TIMES: Every other Tuesday, June 11 to Aug. 20, 9:30 a.m. – noon.

Payment can be made via check, Venmo, or Stripe with a fee.

Tuition: $350.00-$500.00 on a slide scale

(Turning Points Intensive

A deep dive into value, plot, and structure.

This retreat is for Studio writers well into their project and eager to map the whole of their book around the following turning points: Inciting Incident, PP1, Midpoint, and Climactic Action.

Only six writers for this retreat as we will collectively work intensely on each other’s projects. Too many writers and too many projects, and it can’t work.

DATES: Mid August, Friday, Sat. & Sunday, 10-3 p.m. PST via Zoom. (NOTE: The date is not set in stone, it’s better to get your spot and let me know a range of dates, and I’ll work with the whole group).
